​ The Grouse Grind Carla Paul A trip to scenic Vancouver, BC wouldn’t be complete without plenty of outdoor activity, and the famous Grouse Grind didn’t disappoint in giving us great exercise in beautiful surroundings. Covering an elevation gain of 2,800 ft in just 1.8 miles, the 2,830-step climb was the ultimate hill workout! With so many tourists and soccer fans (like us) in town for the Women’s World Cup, we had plenty of company for motivation the whole way to the top. And, we’re happy to say we beat the average hiker by a full half an hour, as we reached the peak in just about 60 minutes.
