Racing Updates
Since the last newsletter, the RC2 team did the Clinton 15K and the Newport 10K. Full reports below in earlier blog posts. Also check out the photos on this page. We had a great showing by our runners at both races! Next up will be the New Milford 5K (masters men and women) on June 18 and the Fitzgerald’s Lager Run (open men) on June 26 (note the mention of lager in the race name). Newport 10K
The Newport 10K always draws a big crowd of runners. There is an elite category, and prize money is awarded. Nearly 2,000 runners participated in the race this year. Rose City entered one men’s team in the open competition and placed 13th out of 23 teams. Several of our racers placed in the top 10 in their age groups as well. Although I was not present, I heard a rumor that several of our runners enjoyed an adult beverage at the NJ Beer gathering after the race. Thanks


Clinton 15K Race Report
The Clinton Country Run always draws a fast crowd of runners. The 15K is a team race for all divisions. The weather is unpredictable – I’ve run this race in blazing heat and in blustery conditions. This year the weather started out chilly and windy – it always is on top of the ridge. As we got to race time it started to warm up a little and the sun started to come out.
