Fall is coming

As you can see from the team championship schedule, 2020 did not go as planned. At this time, registration is open for the Giralda Farms race and I haven’t seen any updates. There is no date posted for Ashenfelter, and no registration link.

So what’s a runner to do? There are a few small races taking place in NJ, and some of the PA race directors have been holding races since mid-summer. And there are many virtual races and challenges going on. RC2 runners participated in the New Jersey Virtual Challenge, the Run the Northeast Virtual Challenge, the NYC Subway Challenge and the DC Wonder Woman 10k, just to name a few. If you are missing racing, or need some motivation, check out the virtual options. Reach out to other club members, it’s fun to do these events ‘together’ and to encourage each other to run, even if we don’t have in-person races to train for.

USATF-NJ listed a virtual event fall series on their web page, but there are no details yet. This could be a fun challenge for the fall. Stay tuned and keep running!
